Groups

Good2Talk Group; This is for those who are grieving. It meets monthly on a Wednesday evening in the church hall, and is led by an ecumenical group. This group is open to anyone in the community of Lanark and beyond, and those present discuss their feelings and their experiences in a safe atmosphere. For dates, see "What's On" or the intimations, or the local press. Please contact Margo/Robin on 661454.

Needlework Group; for those interested in sewing and creating banners. We meet fortnightly on a Wednesday afternoon in the church hall at 2pm. Please contact Eleanor on 664726.

Bible Study; We meet fortnightly on a Monday evening at 8pm. We have a laugh and enjoy fellowship together, reading and searching scripture.

House Group; We meet fortnightly on a Tuesday at 2pm, to study scripture in the homes of our members. This is a new group started in Spring 2009, and much discussion is enjoyed.

Flower Group; This meets fortnightly on a Monday afternoon in the hall, and create some wonderful displays. They will hopefully be creating something spectacular for our rededication of the church at the end of October 2009! For further information contact Nessie on 662940.

Church Choir; We are a happy bunch, and led by Roy Henderson our Musical Director. We meet for practice from September to April, participating in our weekly worship and lead worship at Christmas and Easter. We meet on Thursday evenings at 7.30pm in the church. For information, contact Roy on 663426.

Saturday Teas; This is a team from the congregation who have provided trhe community with teas on a Saturday for over 20 years. The tea-room begins in September and ends in May, and is from 10am to 12noon. Many members have served over the years. How many cups of tea and coffee have been made -we do not know. This was originally a fund-raising venture for the exterior of the church- It is now more than that, it is a vital part of the fellowship and forms part of the Lanark community spirit. People miss it. Come along and share!
